Hello! So, it has been a while since anything new has happened on the website for AWL so I thought I would give a brief update about the last year’s giving, what we’re improving and refining, and new things coming in 2022!
Every year, my family and I celebrate the Jewish Passover as a remembrance of what God has done. This meal takes place every year before Easter and serves as a way for the Jewish people to celebrate all that God did leading them from Egypt and into the promised land.
Hello All! I'm so excited to present this week's guest blogger: Sarah Gullickson! I've known her since we were little and it's been an honor to be her friend all these years. This week Sarah is sharing what she's found to be true regarding talent and giftings...what does it mean to be talented? Are their different levels of talent? and how can we all use the unique talents God gave us to the best of our ability?
I don’t know about you, but at least for me, it can be extremely easy to allow busyness to take over my days. From jobs, assignments, friends, family time, eating, random tasks, running a business (you name it), there’s constantly something fighting for my attention and time. It can be so easy to just give in and allow my days to fly by but in that, I miss the beauty that is rest.
I'm so thrilled to present the second ever guest blog by none other than Kendra Kispert! Kendra is a deep, thoughtful, intelligent, and kind individual who is sharing about the very real and very scary position we can all relate to when we’re “Too Scared to Try.” Her story and wisdom blessed me so much and I’m sure it’ll do the same for you!
Here’s a little sliver of vulnerability from me to you: To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure what to write about today. I wanted what I wrote to add value to you, make you think, and perhaps even plant a seed of hope if you weren’t feeling it today. But, If I’m being completely transparent...
I am so excited to present our first ever guest blog! Riley graciously offered his expertise on what he's found through his journey as an artist, leader, and individual. Today, Riley is going to talk about the "One 'Like' That Really Matters." His words of wisdom truly blessed me and I'm sure they'll do the same for you!
So often, we get a tunnel-like vision and can only see our end goal and nothing else surrounding us. Where is this good? In forecasting for a job, in trying to get a deal, or in planning the next big event. In setting sets on the ultimate things, we don’t get distracted with little nuances that don’t really matter. This is really, really good.
“Dang it. I messed up. Why did I put myself in this situation?” I’m clinging on for dear life about 25 feet in the air, with nothing between me and a very long fall except for some netting. At that moment all I wanted was “Out, out!” But I couldn’t…
Here’s a random fact about me: I really, REALLY like puzzle pieces. Okay, kinda weird. Especially since I don’t overly enjoy puzzles. Of course, I’ll make a few huge ones in a year but after completing one I don’t immediately want to start over. Mostly, I enjoy the time spent with other people while making the puzzle more than the activity itself.....
